I picked up my M4...
I picked up my M4 yesterday at my awesome FFL dealer Chris @ The Outdoor Shop and have to say, exceeds the expectations of what I could see in all the pictures I could find. Shot 200 rounds and had no issues. Spent a couple hours cleaning and oiling afterwards to get familiar with the breakdown. Smooth flawless transaction with Buds and again, customer for life!! I purchased this for...
I purchased this for my wife, who has a Muddy Girl Camo 'thing'. I was pleasantly surprised when I inspected this rifle. It is basically an AR-15 in a .22lr. Only variation are the non-working bolt release and bolt forward assist. Overall an extremely nice rifle that weighs and operates just like an AR-15. Markings are all Colt, except for one indicating the Walther name. Sights, sling loops, bayonet attachment, flash suppressor, adjustable butt stock, removable handle, safety, bolt handle, etc, are all Colt AR-15. This is a very nicely done rifle that I hope shoots as well as it looks. Magazine is very well made and has assist buttons on both sides that will make it very easy to load. The only downfall is if the price goes back up. Currently $302 but I have seen them at other retail stores locally for $599. I cannot see purchasing a $599 .22lr AR lookalike but $302 is very reasonable for this rifle. One other item is the ejection port dust cover. Ours was difficult to close and almost impossible to re-open by utilizing the bolt handle. However, a call to customer service advised to use a padded surface and softly strike the rifle butt while pulling the bolt handle. That worked to re-open it. I noted the slot in the bolt to open this is probably too squared off causing this problem. I found a little lubricant and multiple closing and openings now allows the door to open as the bolt is pulled back, just like an AR.
