I've only had the...
I've only had the rifle out to the range once for breaking in the barrel and sighting the scope, but I am completely satisfied and impressed with its performance. I had bore sighted the scope at the house, and within 3 shots, I had it dialed pretty close. Weatherby instructs the owner to complete break-in procedure before sighting, but I did them simultaneously. I've always wondered about whether there is truly a need for the break-in, but I was surprised how much more variation in bullet flight occurred before the break-in process was completed, so I'm now a believer. Anyway, with less than 50 rounds fired, I had hit less than 1" groups of 3 at 100 yards, and had consistently shot less than 2" groups. For the first time firing a new rifle, that is a pretty good performance for me. I thought the action on the bolt was a little too stiff (hard to pull), but it didn't bother my aim or the function of the rifle generally. Now, I just need to find a suppressor to fit the breaded barrel!
