Its 24-inch #2.5 contour barrel uses a 1-in-12-inch twist and is paired with a Mauser-style action featuring dual opposed locking lugs. The internal box magazine holds 3+1 rounds, while the three-position manual safety provides practical control in the field. A synthetic stock with Griptonite inserts, a raised Monte Carlo comb, and a right-side palm swell improve handling and shooting comfort. Adjustable iron sights with a hooded front sight provide a usable factory sighting system, and the adjustable two-stage match trigger can be tuned down to 2.5 pounds. You get more than your money's worth. \r I'm old but the open sights are very good. (2 1/2" group at 100 yards using sticks.)\r Understand that at 7 pounds 10 ounces, this puppy will talk to you when that crisp trigger breaks. \r Overall very happy with Weatherby, this rifle, and Bud's.

Whole lot of rifle for...
Whole lot of rifle for the money. Well-built and reliable. Perfect function. Out of the box this one has the best trigger of any factory rifle I have owned or currently own - light and crisp. Mounted a Redfield 2-7 in Leupold quick detach mounts/rings. Tested three different loads/bullets yesterday. Same result with all three at 100 yards...3 round half inch groups. This rifle is ACCURATE. And it's in 375 H&H mag. Love it.
