The Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 Range Certified Varmint .308 Win bolt action rifle is built for consistent accuracy and comfortable handling at the range and on varmint hunts. Each Range Certified rifle is hand picked and test fired at the factory, then shipped with a factory shot target signed by Ed Weatherby to certify performance. A heavy #3 contour cold hammer forged barrel and a free-floated setup help deliver tight groups, while the match-quality two-stage adjustable trigger lets you fine-tune your shot feel.

I've had this rifle...
I've had this rifle for about a month now and shot it several times. Overall, I love it. Ive worked up reloads with it using a 125gn Speer TNT and 168gn Nosler Ballistic Tip and was able to get both loads to shoot between .5 and .75" at 100 yards without trying too hard. I feel like if I put some more effort into it, I can get it shoot half MOA or better very consistantly. I love rifles that just plain shoot without doing anything to them. This rifle also comes from the factory with the recoil lug glass bedded...which is awesome. The trigger is good but not perfect. I usually put aftermarket triggers in all my guns, but this one i'm going to keep. I adjusted it down to 3lbs and there is just a tiny, almost imperceptible amount of creep, but I'm ok with it. Most people probably wouldn't notice it. If you're considering this gun, I don't think you can go wrong. Its really accurate, heavy enough to be solid but not overbearing, and has very minimal recoil for a .308. Great buy.
