The Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 Stainless is a weather-resistant bolt action rifle chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum. It combines a matte bead-blasted stainless steel barrel with a durable Monte Carlo Griptonite composite stock for dependable performance in demanding field conditions. The cold hammer-forged 24-inch barrel features a #2 contour, 1:10 twist, and recessed target crown to support accuracy and protect the rifling. A match-grade adjustable two-stage trigger and three-position manual safety complete the practical hunting configuration. The rifle is backed by Weatherby’s SUB-MOA Accuracy Guarantee when used with specified premium ammunition.

Wow. What a good flat...
Wow. What a good flat shooting and accurate gun. I have owned a 300 Weatherby Mag and it is a accurate gun also but it would kick the dog crap out of you on every shot. This one is very pleasant but give you the feel of a mag without all the kick. I had rather shoot it than a 30 06 or 270. A 200 yard bullseye is a breeze. I will keep it forever. A little about Buds gun shop. I was very apprehensive about buying a gun from the internet and from a gun shop that I knew nothing about but could not drive to Kentucky to check it out or pick it up. This was my third order and they have been excellent. I was a little nervous about not receiving my order as quick as I thought I should. I call customer service and the nice gentleman reminded me that it took seven working days to process the order. I waited somewhat calmly and sure enough it happened just like he said. The ordering process is too easy. It makes you want to order more. All three guns were in perfect condition when they arrived at the gun shop I picked to have them shipped to. I have no reservations about ordering from Buds again.

I've owned a few .257...
I've owned a few .257 Weatherby caliber rifles and I am very impressed with the round itself. I purchased this rifle for deer season last year. The rifle has a real smooth action and has been very reliable. I was skeptical at first due to this being about half the price of my last .257 but I am very impressed with the reliability, accuracy and attention to detail. The only down side is a little shorter barrel than my last .257 and stock isn't as nice. Overall It is a nice rifle at a nice price. BTW I shot two deer both on the first shot at separate times with the this rifle. Bud's has always been excellent for price and shipping. Waiting for stuff to clear is a little slow but I haven't had any problems with any of the products to date.
