Its Turkish A-grade walnut Monte Carlo stock features a raised comb and rosewood forend cap, while the matte bead-blasted blued metal finish provides a subdued appearance. A match-quality adjustable two-stage trigger can be tuned down to 2.5 pounds, and the three-position safety provides familiar, positive control. The rifle is designed to deliver a three-shot group of 0.99 inches or less at 100 yards when used with specified Weatherby factory or premium ammunition.

Great rifle, feels a...
Great rifle, feels a bit heavier than my .308 Remington 700, but still an excellent choice for the price. The bolt and action are flawless, cycling smoothly even without any lubrication. I've got it zeroed in, and it's performed beautifully. I'm currently running Weatherby Vanguard scope mounts with a Bushmaster scope, and the setup has been solid. The wood finish looks fantastic, making it a great-looking and reliable ranch gun.

Weatherby has been known for their fit and finish of their firearms. This Vanguard .223 lives up to those standards. They've taken the Howa 1500 to a higher standard. Looks and shoots as you would expect of a Weatherby. Considering another in a different caliber.
