I love this rifle. I purchased this because the recoil from my .308 combined with a bad shoulder was miserable. The 6.5 Creedmoor has a fantastic recoil. I could shoot it all day and the only thing it would hurt is my wallet. It is very accurate and it seems like the groups are getting tighter the more I shoot it.. but that could also be from me getting more comfortable sooting it. My only regret is that I didn't get the cerakote finish. I scratched the bluing on the barrel on my shooting bench the first time I shot it.

The Vanguard in 6.5 is...
The Vanguard in 6.5 is the most accurate rifle I own to be totally honest. The price point leaves room for a solid one piece scope mount and quality glass and still be under $1000. It's heavier than the competition, I think most of that is in the barrel. My friends that have lighter rifles are not much cheaper than this gun and a lot junker, Savage axis etc. The bolt is silk smooth, cock on open. The MOA is 3 shot, not 5. It's meant to shoot hunting loads, and with 143 gr. ELD bullets (heavier side for a 6.5) it holds a super tight group. Truthfully I haven't shot past 200 meters, but it was inside 2" with the different rounds I had. Low recoil, I have had many newer shooters get confident behind this gun. God willing ammo will be available the way it was two years ago when I bought it, I'd buy this gun again in a heartbeat- even over the other 6.5 rifles I have shot.
