I have an old German...
I have an old German made Weatherby Mark V in .300 Weatherby. The day I brought it home I shot it six times and put it up on the wall forever. It will never be fired again as the recoil is stupid out of control. Imagine my hesitation when it came to purchasing the Talus in the same cartridge. Is the muzzle brake really going to be that effective? Is it heavy enough? Can the Vanguard action handle the pounding the cartridge delivers? The answer to all of those questions is without reservation a big fat YES. This rifle is a pleasure in every aspect. I've put 60 rounds a sitting through it while at the range and enjoyed every bit of it. This is a dandy rifle and I highly recommend it for anyone. Weatherby's molded stocks are the best, as well. Love it in every conceivable way. Thank you, Weatherby. Dan
