Just returned from the...
Just returned from the range after shooting this rifle for the first time. Upon receipt, found the fit and finish to be very good. A Warne Maxima 2 piece base was installed with a near perfect fit, as shown by flatness measurements from front to back. Leupold LRW med rings and a Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42mm scope were mounted. It shot very smoothly, bolt engagement is smooth and just tight enough and the recoil pad is more than suitable for reducing felt recoil. The off the shelf Hornady match loads did not group well at all but my handloads, used to pressure test 120gn Barnes loads using IMR7828, already showed great promise. All in all, a great, well built rifle.
