Bad luck from start....
Bad luck from start. Issues with the fit on the stock on this particular model, would have been much more pleased with the standard synthetic stock for much less $. The accuracy with this rifle was nowhere near what was guaranteed, so I separated the action from the stock and could clearly see where the stock was in tight, significant forceful contact with the stock at the 9 o'clock position. Rather than sending the rifle back to weatherby at that point, I decided to remove some of the stock material with coarse sandpaper at that point to free float the barrel, but this did nothing for accuracy, still yielding 2-3 MOA with multiple quality factory ammunition. At this point the rifle did go back to weatherby, but I was criticized for altering the rifle stock and would not fix the issue. Ha. I traded this rifle and ended up with a Tikka. Lesson learned. Stay away! No real issues with Buds, except for taking their time to ship which is usual for them.
