The Winchester Model 70 Westerner is a classic bolt-action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. Its pre-64 style controlled-round-feed action uses a Mauser-style claw extractor for reliable cartridge control, while the 24-inch barrel supports the flat-shooting performance associated with this hunting cartridge. A walnut stock and blued finish provide a traditional sporting-rifle configuration, complemented by a hooded ramp front sight and standard rear rifle sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, allowing the rifle to be configured with an appropriate optic.

Very pleasant working with Bud's. It was very quick and problem free. If you are hesitant on purchasing on-line, don't be using Bud's and one of the preferred FFL's. Now about the item purchased. The gun arrived and looks great. This one is stamped "Made in the USA". It has nicely figured wood w/ a satin finish, the bluing is highly polished, and the action feels a smooth as butter. Hope it is as accurate as the reviews state the rifles are.....overall, way to go Winchester. it will become a family heirloom for sure.
