The Winchester 1885 is...
The Winchester 1885 is my favorite rifle and the .243 Winchester is one of my favorite calibers so this is a perfect match for me. The craftsmanship, fit and finish, etc. are very good. The rifle is a little heavier than you might expect but this as advantages for accuracy when shooting offhand or from a rest or hunting blind. It is probably too heavy for most people to enjoy on a long hunting hike - just saying. I'm just pleased with this rifle in every way. It has already proven effective on whitetails. And - dealing with Bud's was simple and straightforward as always.
