This is a beautiful...
This is a beautiful rifle. There is something special about a single shot rifle and the 1885 Low Wall is the perfect blend of a vintage looking firearm that benefits from modern technology. The quality of the materials used is quite evident. The stock has a great grain pattern and the checkering is well executed and deep. The bluing is flawless and the octagon barrel adds to the vintage look and feel. The extractor functions like it should and the trigger is light and crisp. The iron sights are easy to use, but I installed a scope for better accuracy. For the best scope set up use the Talley one piece base and rings. This rifle is a tack driver. After zeroing the scope I was able to shot 1" groups at 100 yards. While the 1885 Low Wall is expensive, it is an example of you get what you pay for. Light and easy to carry, it is the perfect small varmint rifle.
