Product Overview
The Winchester Model 1886 Short Rifle combines classic lever-action handling with the substantial performance of the .45-70 Govt. cartridge. Its 24-inch round barrel features button rifling with a 1:20-inch twist and a recessed target crown. The full-length tubular magazine holds eight rounds, while the steel loading gate and rebounding hammer support practical field use. A Marble Arms brass bead front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear sight provide a traditional sighting setup. The rifle is finished with a brushed polish blue treatment and fitted with a straight-grip Grade I walnut stock, satin finish, crescent-style steel buttplate, and blued forend cap.
