The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Stainless is a lightweight hunting rifle built around the proven Pre-64 style controlled round feed action. Its stainless steel barrel and receiver provide strong resistance to field wear and weather, while the free-float barrel, recessed target crown, and Winchester MOA adjustable trigger system support consistent accuracy. A Grade I walnut stock with a Schnabel forearm gives the rifle classic sporting-rifle character, and the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad helps make extended carry and range sessions more comfortable. The hinged floorplate holds 5 rounds, and the three-position safety provides secure handling while preserving fast access to the trigger when needed.

I really like my...
I really like my Winchester Model 70 rifle. This is the second one I have and I only wish I would have bought them all along. It shoots tiny groups and looks beautiful to me. I'm old fashioned and like wood stocks so this rifle fits the bill perfectly. I can't recommend this rifle more for the hunter, or part time range shooter.

So far I am very pleased with this rifle, the quality of the rifle and the service from Bud's Guns was all a good experience. The only thing that I did not like was the trigger pull on this model. The mfg said that the trigger is adjustable and that is not true. I was able to take care of the problem. Outside of that the gun is very well built, accurate and function like it should. If I wanted another caliber I would again consider this model and I would look at Buds Guns first before I bought anywhere else.
