I do not hunt so I just use it for target practice on my property and I very much enjoy the Winchester Model 94 Deluxe Carbine in the 30-30 caliber with 7+1 capacity. When I unboxed it I was pleased as it was exactly what I wanted based on memories from my youth. It is a beautiful rifle! I am glad that I opted for the Deluxe finish which features a grade IV/V walnut with unique grain patterning and a carbine butt plate. I enjoy shooting it while I improve my accuracy from a variety of distances.

I bought this rifle...
I bought this rifle for my son as a college graduation present. The rifle is absolutely beautiful. Spectacular black walnut stock and forened, deep bluing and the fit & finish is virtually perfect. Before I gave it to my son I spent a day wringing it out on the range (I wasn't going to give him a rifle that wasn't a shooter). The rifle did not disappoint, I put several boxes of different 30-30 through it and they all cycled perfectly. The rifle is deadly accurate. I was hesitant to buy a Japanese built (by Miroku) Winchester, but this is a first class rifle. I have since bought 3 other Miroku Winchesters (a 66 Yellow Boy in 38spl, a 73 in 45 colt and a 92 in 44 mag), and they are all superb firearms. Between the 4 rifles, I've probably put close to a 1000 rounds through them without a hiccup. All are beautiful, accurate and reliable. If you're on the fence about buying one, just do it, you won't be sorry.
