The Winchester Xpert SR Scope Combo is a lightweight bolt-action rimfire rifle designed for accurate, dependable performance in a compact package. Its button-rifled steel barrel measures 16.5 inches and features 1/2x28 muzzle threading with a knurled thread protector. A Bentz-style chamber, Rimfire M.O.A. trigger, gray composite stock, and detachable 10-round magazine support consistent field and range use. This package includes a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 scope mounted on a Picatinny rail and bore sighted at the factory.

We decided to add a...
We decided to add a new .22 to our collection and wanted to balance cost with features to get a good entry level gun for the kiddo. The Winchester Expert SR fit the bill by providing a bolt action with a 10 round magazine and an included Vortex scope. And, as always, Bud's had the best price for this gun! The Xpert SR comes pre-threaded for the addition of a silencer, which makes this gun very friendly to shoot and keeps your neighbors happy. The Vortex scope is a great entry model for our purpose, but the zoom/magnification is a bit limited if you're trying to look beyond 25 yards, and you have to place your head back a ways in the stock for the full field of view to be in focus which took some getting used to. All in all the gun works great, the magazine cycles smoothly and the gun hasn't had any misfires with the first 200+ rounds using three different brands of ammo. It is also a breeze to clean and disassembles easily enough that the kiddo has no problem striping and cleaning it after a day of practice shooting. I would definitely recommend the Winchester Xpert as a great entry level bolt action .22, and it comes in several versions to for your needs and budget!
