Had this for few years, Since I live in NYS, I had to go with this compliant model, feels very awkward, but after several trips to the range, I gotten used to it, Shoots very accurate and smooth with 223 and 556 ammo,

Ok, it's weird...
Ok, it's weird looking, and it's NY legal, so obviously it's safer. Despite that, the bullets appear to come out the barrel much like they do the bad looking rifles. Actually, because of the lack of a deadly flash suppressor, if you miss the target you stand a good chance of incinerating it with the fireball that rivals a Charge 7 out of a howitzer. On a less dramatic note, no malfunctions, doesn't seem to care if you are firing mil spec or rough range ammo, and all magazines I have work fine (only 2.5 rounds per magazine, because you know, NY).

I purchased this rifle...
I purchased this rifle early December 2021. It was a recommendation from my local gun shop. Shipping was fast and easy to my local FFL. I'm not an AR-15 expert at all. This is my first and likely the last I'll own. The picture shows the original Thordsten Grip. It actually came with the G3 current Thordsten NY Compliant grip and I was VERY happy to see that. Definite bonus. Even though it's my first AR, it's not my first rifle. This is light and well balanced. The Thordsten Gen 3 grip is EXCELLENT. Only me, but I'll be adding an extended length safety. I can switch to fire with my left thumb but can't get it back to safe with my left thumb. That's not an issue with the gun at all. It's a function of how the Thordsten grip makes this rifle NY Compliant. No biggie...just replace the safety lever with an extended length.\r \r I've got 60 rounds through it so far. Good groups at 50 yards. \r \r Short answer, I love it. Showed a buddy and he bought one 2 days after I did. This price was excellent also!\r \r
