The WMD Guns Lightweight Beast is a 16-inch, 5.56mm NATO AR-style rifle built on Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a NiB-X nickel boron coating for smoother operation and enhanced durability. It features a special light weight 16-inch barrel with a 1:8 twist, carbine buffer setup, and a 1/2-28 TPI threaded muzzle for modern suppressor or muzzle device compatibility. The optics-ready upper and free-float handguard provide a clean foundation for adding a red dot, LPVO, or other optic setup, with an adjustable stock for fit and comfort.

This is my first and...
This is my first and will be my only AR15, so I sought much advice before buying. The appearance, weight and help I received from the manufacturer sealed the deal. So far, I'm very impressed, but since it isn't even broken in yet, nor have I mounted the scope, my review is limited. The fit and finish appear to be flawless; it was actually difficult to read the serial number because of the finish coating. The trigger pull is smooth and lighter than mil spec, but don't know the actual pull weight. I bought it for targets only, not hunting. I'm building a rifle range on my property to accommodate it, and expect it to be very accurate. Please note that the barrel is 1:7 twist, not 1:8 as said in the product description. The manufacturer will update the description.
