The Browning BPS Field is a 12 Gauge pump-action hunting shotgun built around Browning's durable bottom-loading and bottom-ejecting receiver. This configuration pairs a 26-inch ventilated-rib barrel with a satin blued finish and a traditional black walnut stock. Its 3-inch chamber supports a broad range of field loads, while the Invector-Plus flush choke system includes Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified tubes for adapting the pattern to different hunting applications. This has become my favorite shotgun. And I've tried most of them. It's almost as if the action is running on ball bearings. Fictions, handles, and points great. It's on the heavier side, but that's what I prefer. Planning on collecting a couple more BPS's.

As usual, Bud's service was great. I own a BPS Hunter as well and I can honestly say these shotguns are my all time favorite pump guns for hunting. This field model is definitely a great quality budget shotgun; silky smooth action, totally ambidextrous. I did have two shells out of fifty that failed to eject, but could've been the ammo since it was fairly cheap stuff. Will see in the long run if it's as reliable as my 3 1/2 inch Hunter, but would still definitely recommend over most other shotguns in the same price range.

A very well made shotgun. Solid quality throughout. This is a gun that will last for a lifetime or more. With the addition of the cantilever rifled slug barrel when they become available this Spring this gun can literally go from woodcock to moose. I'll be ordering one of those barrels next. If you're looking for a high quality pump action shotgun you don't need to look any further.
