This was my waterfowl...
This was my waterfowl gun for many years. It replaced a super x2 which I still like very much for its fast cycling. The Maxus was light and I really like that Shadow Grass Blades pattern. The trigger feel was fine. I thought the lockout switch was a good idea. The safe cycled fine. Even though it was plastic, I never used it as a paddle. I broke it down and cleaned it after I dried it out with every use. That being said, when I had to swap out ammo from duck to goose loads and vice versa, the weapon would jam and the only way to fix it was to drop the trigger group. This is really inconvenient next to a swamp or in a boat. I believe Browning customer support could be better and perhaps a little more honest, or at the very least, forthcoming. I ended up switching brands to waterfowl gun I like much better.
