Bought this for home...
Bought this for home defense. Its' a fairly nice shotgun and well made. Only part I was disappointed with was the finish. Finish was a heavily applied black and rather coarse.

Charles Daly 500 Coach...
Charles Daly 500 Coach Gun 12ga 20" Walnut Stock, Single Trigger. I think I paid around four eighty for it. The label Charles Daly has moved around some so I was a little nervous. I am very happy with the purchase. The gun was made by a computer. The fit and finish reminds of a Winchester 1300 I bought around 2010. A computer built and fitted that gun as well. The shotgun I received was not like the one in the photo. The one I received did not have a skeleton flipper release nor was the receiver silver. It is a matte black for both. I find both shotguns attractive in looks so it was not an issue for me. It accepts Beretta Mobil chokes. I had one barrel fight me on a Briley Mobil extended but it broke in fine with a little oil. I patterned the gun at 30 yards to double check my Turkish Barrel Regulators. I used a mod and Imod that comes with the gun. The shotgun does pattern about 5-6 inches high POA at 25-30 yards which sure beats the thing shooting low. At 25 yards you would need to aim at the Grouse's feet or the Turkey's breast for best results. On Highwaymen, best to rest just below the sternum. 5 inches high if your sight picture shows no barrel, just the bead set over the receiver tang. Like an extreme Trap Gun with no rib. Triggers were a little gritty at first but seem fine now. Same with the break action. I am satisfied with the performance and fit and finish with this shotgun and I would recommend it. However, I would advise that at the time of this review that the Turkish Lira vs US dollar is still falling. What I'm saying is that I would not pay much more for this shotgun or the crazy prices I see for the ones with 28 inch barrels. Better to find a used Spanish or Italian S X S at those prices. I did choose this over the Stoeger because of the chokes. I've always been fascinated by short barrels with chokes. Last, I'll recommend the audible book "Shotguns and Stagecoaches: The Brave Men Who Rode for Wells Fargo in the Wild West": Boessenecker, John. Last, I have full confidence in Bud's Gun Shop. I would rate their business as being Superb for my needs.
