The Escort Extreme Max is a 12 Gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for demanding hunting use. Its 3 1/2-inch chamber accepts 2 3/4-inch, 3-inch, and 3 1/2-inch shotshells, from light 7/8-ounce loads through heavy 2 3/8-ounce double-magnum loads. The 28-inch barrel is chrome plated for corrosion resistance and made from chromium, nickel, and molybdenum steel, with proof testing for reliable service. A ventilated anti-glare raised rib and HiViz Spark fiber optic front sight help maintain a clear sight picture, while the included multi-choke system provides Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder options suitable for steel shot. The synthetic stock uses rubber inlays for a secure hold and includes four shims for adjusting drop and cast, plus three spacers for extending the length of pull. A cross-button manual safety, magazine cut-off system, SmartMAX Piston, and fast loading system add practical control in the field.
