Product Overview
The Escort XtremeMax APG is a 12 Gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for hunting with 2 3/4-inch, 3-inch, and 3 1/2-inch shotshells. Its 28-inch barrel is constructed from chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel and finished in black chrome for added corrosion resistance. The aircraft-alloy receiver features an 11mm scope-mount groove, while the Realtree APG synthetic stock uses rubber inlays and a recoil pad to improve control and shooting comfort. A HiViz Spark front sight sits on the raised ventilated rib, and the supplied five-choke system offers Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder patterns. The shotgun also includes stock shims for adjusting drop and cast, stock spacers for length-of-pull adjustment, sling studs, a magazine cut-off system, and a manual cross-button safety.

I like the gun. I...
I like the gun. I think it will work out well. First shot at my first duck was a click. :( Recocked and reloaded the weapon and it has worked from that point on. Shot 2.75, 3 and 3.5 shells without issue. It doesn't kick with any of the shells. The gun is light. The rubber grips on the forearm and stock are nice. Knowing the receiver is aircraft aluminum and the barrel is built with rust resistant materials is a plus. The two little things I like are that: the chokes have notches on the barrel edge so you can tell what you have installed; and the migratory bird plug is easily removed (just remove the forearm retaining cap). Good hunting.
