I've owned this gun...
I've owned this gun for almost two years. I've been shooting it nearly every weekend and have fired likely 10,000+ rounds through it so far. I use it for Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays. I also have Briley sub gauge tubes for 20 ga and 28 ga that I've been using for about a year. The gun has inertia triggers, so adequate recoil is necessary to set the second trigger. The only times that I've had failure to fire because the second trigger did not set due to low recoil were directly related to my reloaded ammo with a low powder drop, or, in the case of my 28 ga reloads, not enough crimp as specified by reloading manuals. I've improved my reloading process and the gun performs flawless with all three gauges. The same applies to Factory ammo, if there is a flaw with the ammo, you will experience the same. I do not believe there is an option for mechanical triggers, which would be nice. The gun is heavier than the Brownings and Berettas that my friends use, especially with added weight of sun gauge tubes. So, you might want to consider a carrier barrel option if you get sub gauge tubes and a heavier gun might be an issue for you. (Contact Briley for more info on that.) The adjustable comb is a great feature, but the screws that hold the base into the stock could be bigger. I've had to tighten them every so often. The blue color looks better in person than the pictures indicate. I have been more than pleased with this gun. The price is very affordable compared to other popular brands, and the gun is a work horse. When I bought my gun from Bud's, it was advertised as a 3" gun. This is not true. This gun will only take 2-3/4" shells, but it looks like Bud's has corrected this on their site. Though the issues are very minor and easy to overcome, I highly recommend this gun.

This was a first time...
This was a first time purchase with Buds and I will say the transaction was smooth and straight forward as can be. Everything went as Buds said it would and I would buy from them again. As to this gun...it is a beautiful gun to hold, handle and a dream to shoot. It swings smooth and is balanced perfectly at the hinge.i have 500 rounds thru it so far and not a single problem or complaint. It comes with everything needed to shoot all the target games. You would not regret this gun!

This was my first...
This was my first purchase with buds. It was very smooth and a great transaction. I'm very pleased with the FNH-SC1. It was a pleasure shooting a round of sporting clays with this shotgun. It is a smooth shooter, low recoil and a great feeling trigger. First time out I shot my personal best in sporting clays with this gun. I look forward to many years of use and lots of broken pigeons.
