The Franchi 48 AL Field is a lightweight 20 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun built around Franchi’s proven long-recoil operating system. Its aluminum receiver keeps the shotgun easy to carry in upland terrain, while the satin walnut checkered stock provides a traditional hunting feel and secure handling. The 24-inch blue/black barrel and compact 44-inch overall length make it well suited to quick movement through fields and woods. Four choke tubes are included, providing Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full options for adapting patterns to different hunting applications.

The 48 AL has been around for years, and for very good reasons. It is easy to carry in the woods, and at just over 5 lb., it proves to be trustworthy. Functions and cycles great. Is simple to take down, for cleaning. I plan on my 48 AL being around for years .
