A: Michael, I have both sights on my different shotguns (Mossberg 590A1) and they don't make much of a difference until I'm firing slugs past 75 yards or so. But, for me personally..... yes as I use night sight paint and they work just fine even in low/no light.

A: Boris - Yes sir it is removable. The stocks are removable for all shotguns, except the few made with a one piece polymer stock and receiver (Made in Turkey). You can install another stock, a pistol grip, a folding stock, or one of the birds head type grips like the shockwave uses.
