Product Overview
The Mossberg 590 Special Purpose 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun combines a 20-inch cylinder-bore barrel with an eight-round tubular magazine for an 8+1 capacity when using 2 3/4-inch shells. Its 3-inch chamber also accommodates magnum-length shotshells, with capacity reduced to 7+1. A heat shield protects the barrel during extended use, while the tang-mounted safety is naturally accessible to right- or left-handed shooters. The black synthetic stock and matte blue finish provide a practical configuration for hunting, home defense, and general-purpose shotgun use. The shotgun measures 41 inches overall and weighs 7 1/4 pounds.

This thing is a pit...
This thing is a pit bull!! It's presence (the tactical look) gets people's attention. I have large hands, so it fits just right. The rubber buttstock cushions my shoulder pretty darn good when I'm shooting slugs. The pump slides so easily when racking in another round. This is actually helpful when my wife and daughters shoot it. The gun has some weight to it, so having a smooth pump eliminates that con so that my girls can focus on their stance and form while training. \r Solid purchase.
