This is not a civilian...
This is not a civilian type of shotgun. It is completely designed for War. When I held this in my hands again, it reminded me of urban warfare training in the Marine Corps back in the early 90s. The only shotgun I've had before is the Beretta semi-auto, which is close to the quality and reliability in combat. But this retro is built like a tank; it'll take abuse and give right back! It is a professional's shotgun. Now I'm finishing off with a sling, a tritium front sight, a SureFire flashlight, and a bayonet.

Received my new 590A1...
Received my new 590A1 Retrograde in quick fashion. Came very well packaged. Shotgun came in excellent brand new condition. I've been wanting to get this shotgun for a couple of years now and I'm really glad to have added it to my collection. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I got to my FFL. I've taken it apart for the initial cleaning and I'm glad I did. The barrel had quite a bit of colored Vaseline looking gunk in it. Which came straight from the factory that way. Be sure and clean your new 590A1 really well before firing. A fantastic Shotgun that everyone should have for home defense and hunting critters. Happy Trails!

The Mossberg 590A1 is...
The Mossberg 590A1 is the best shotgun I have ever owned. There is very little felt recall & the ghost ring sights are easy to line up on target. Most of the shot fill up a small target at 25 yards. I went with the Retro in order to get wood stock and forearm.
