Remington 870 Express Tactical 12 Gauge Shotgun

A: William, I am not finding any differences other than 1/2 lb weight more on the ( R25549 ) which would suggest a heavier walled barrel. Cheers and stay safe!

A: William, I'm looking and looking and can't find a difference other than like the others said the weight difference. They both have a fixed cylinder bore, both have 4+1 capacity, both have a 3 inch chamber, both 38.5 inch overall length, both 14 inch length of pull, both black synthetic furniture, and both have a standard bead front sight. So If they're similar enough all 3 of us can't find any difference id buy the cheaper one and call it a day. Hope this helps.

A: The great thing about the Remington 870 is the barrel is easily changed for various barrel lengths and chokes for different applications. You can even get a slug barrel with rifle sights. Yes, they have changeable choke tubes unless you go way back (like pre-70's), when they had fixed chokes.

A: Theodore, Bud's description is not accurate. This gun has a fixed cylinder bore, does not take removable choke tubes. Have a great day!

A: Hi Charles, the trigger guard is plastic. The metal, actually aluminum, trigger guard comes on the police models. Stay safe & have a great day!

A: Hi Charles and welcome. The Trigger Guard is Polymer. I have a 870 express tactical and I was thinking about upgrading it to the police model's metal trigger group and add the police extractor for better durability and performance. Cheers and happy holidays!

A: Polymer

A: Hi Bruce and welcome. This model is a 4+1 Capacity. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
