This is a great first-...
This is a great first-time use shotgun for younger guys, aka grandsons, who don't have long enough arms or strong enough shoulders for my autoloading Remington 1187 12 gauge. Single shot means no accidental discharges after firing and as long as the boys remember to keep their booger hooks off the bang switches as I told them [repeatedly], we're fine and they get to understand the functions and operations of the shotgun. The biggest problem I have isn't with this Rossi, it's with the ammo manufacturers not making enough buck shells for range shooting and I'm not paying 4 bucks a pop on turkey loads just to have a fun range afternoon with my grandsons. Seriously great price [at lest when I bought it], easy to use and clean, it's not too heavy, easy to aim and just the right length.

Hi all. I received my...
Hi all. I received my Rossi single shot .410 and it is just as described. It is well made and very light. It is a dream to carry hunting and I enjoyed shooting it yesterday 12/17/14. I know a .410 shotgun is a short range gun when used to take wild game so I limited myself to about 30 yards or less...after I missed the one squirrel I saw at about 40 yards. I like the solid lockup and I like the ejectors over extractors. I fired both 3" and 2 1/2" and both ejected easily...and far. If you save empties for reloading let them pop out where you can find them. All in all I like the shotgun. I cannot be more pleased and i am sure most who buy this little gun will like it too.
