This is my first...
This is my first inertia driven shotgun as well as my first Weatherby firearm; I have not been at all disappointed. The shotgun is all I hoped it would be both aesthetically and functionally. The Element Deluxe points naturally and cycles very smoothly, I was surprised at what a pleasure it is to shoot clays with this shotgun. Several of my shooting partners enjoyed it as much as I did and expressed interest in possibly getting one of their own. I have read reviews that these inertia guns would not reliably cycle field loads; we were shooting 2 3/4" 1200 FPS factory target shells and this beautiful specimen never missed a beat through five different shooters, ranging from 16 to 80 years old. The fit and finish that Weatherby is known for is outstanding on the gun I received, and the ability to adjust it to your shooting style is a big plus. Being a 20 gauge, the increased recoil of the inertia action compared to a gas gun is barely noticeable. The Element Deluxe is winner for me with custom fit, reliability and beauty at about $300 cheaper the the next runner up.
