I purchased this gun...
I purchased this gun so my 14-year old Godson and I could shoot targets and go duck and goose hunting. My primary reason for picking the SA08 was because of the changeable gas rings. We tested the gun out with three different 2-3/4 rounds. The first box was a heavier hunting load and the other two boxes were light target rounds. All I did was cleaned off the factory grease and wipe the gun down when I took it out of the box. It ate every cartridge we put in the gun like candy. Both of us hit every clay we threw. Very easy to get on target. I am even looking for some lighter loads to try out next time. We have several heavy hunting guns and none of them can shoot light loads. I am very impressed with using the SA08 for a skeet and trap gun. When the temperature drops we will change to the heavy gas ring and find some live targets.\r Out of the box the gun looks pretty good. There are some bluing issues on the receiver. The finish is not perfect but all of the operating parts look and feel good. We hope to put some hard miles on the gun so it will get a little scratched up over the next few years.
