This is my fourth...
This is my fourth SA-08. I had the standard version of this 20 gauge but upgraded it to the deluxe version. I already have the deluxe version of the 28 gauge. These are very nice guns. I highly suggest going with the deluxe version. The wood is nicer and the finish on the barrel and receiver is superior.

Bud's is great! I received my gun 13 calendar days after I made my purchase over a holiday weekend. It was in perfect condition and I was able to track its delivery progress through FedEx ground until it arrived at my FFL (Marksman in NN). Although their estimated transfer cost ($15) was incorrect, it was actually $25, I was very pleased with the transaction. Now the gun. I picked it up yesterday, cleaned it, and today I fired 125 rounds of Winchester 7/8 ounce #7 shot. I did modify the chokes with an IC Trulock and a Modified Trulock extended choke tube (no ports). It functioned flawlessly from the first round through the last round. I actually had a personal best 22/25 on the 16 yard trap range. I found my new favorite shotgun. After the range session, I dissasembled the gun and yes it had a lot of clean up required, but it wiped off with a microfiber cloth. I am 6' tall, 190# but wanted a quail gun. This has become my favorite gun over my Winchester 101LW and Beretta A300 12 gauges. The fit and finish were complemented by all at the range who looked at it. You will not be disappointed if you buy this gun from Bud's. Thank you Bud's and Weatherby!!

I had to send the...
I had to send the first gun back because it had a inch long scratch on the receiver . Bud's handled the return great , I give there service 5 stars . I don't think the Turkish factory that makes the SA-08 for Weatherby uses the same stain , they use what they have at the time . The first gun had a beautiful color stained finish , it looked like a Deluxe model , but the second one had a much darker color wood and not near as nice looking color , very dark stain . The gun functioned well using Remington Express Long Range #6 , 2 3/4" , 1 oz. @ 1220 fps. shells and the heavy load piston . A rabbit first shot . Weatherby list the LOP as 14" , but it is 14 1/4" . It come with 3 choke tubes , two gas pistons and spacers to adjust the stock .
