The Winchester Super X4 Compact is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for youth, smaller-framed, and lighter shooters. Chambered in 12 Gauge for 3-inch shells, it features a 24-inch chrome-plated vent-rib barrel with back-bored technology and an Invector-Plus choke system. The Active Valve gas system self-adjusts to provide reliable cycling across a wide range of loads. A TruGlo fiber optic front sight aids target acquisition, while the reversible manual safety and enlarged operating controls support easy handling in the field. The composite stock has a compact 13-inch length of pull, an Inflex recoil pad, and included spacers for fit adjustment. The shotgun holds 4+1 rounds and includes Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder choke tubes.

This is an excellent...
This is an excellent little shotgun! It's small enough for my 12 year old grandson to shoot comfortably and yet big enough for me as well. I use it for skeet and it didn't want to cycle my 7/8 ounce powder puffs, but after running a box of 1-1/8 ounce loads through it, it started cycling everything I gave it. The 7/8 ounce loads don't always lock the bolt back, but they cycle reliably enough and my 1 ounce loads cycle and lock the bolt back 100%. It swings nice and easy and recoil is negligible with all of my target loads. My only complaint is the fiber optic front sight - it's quite pretty and is probably great for rabbit hunting and the like, but in skeet you're supposed to focus on the target instead of the sight and the fiber optic is a bit distracting. I may end up blackening it with a Sharpie, but I'm going to give it more time and see if I can learn to ignore it. In any case, no biggie. Of course, Buds processing and delivery was prompt and they are always a pleasure to do business with. Thank you!
