The Winchester SXP Buck/Bird Combo is a 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun configured for both upland and deer hunting. Its 28-inch vent-rib field barrel accepts the included Invector-Plus full, modified, and improved cylinder choke tubes, while the 22-inch fully rifled barrel is equipped with TruGlo sights for use with slugs. Both barrels feature hard chrome-plated 3-inch chambers and bores for improved durability and easier maintenance. The matte black aluminum alloy receiver and composite stock create a practical hunting platform, while the Inflex recoil pad helps reduce felt recoil during extended use.

My first 12 gauge....
My first 12 gauge. This combo just scratched a bad itch I had. Not only did I get a fantastic 28inch barrel, but I also got a 22inch rifled barrel that is awesome at shooting slugs. My two complaints are 1) the magazine spring. The first time I tried to remove the dowel that limits the capacity to 3 it just flew out of the tube. I read the manual before trying and even the manual states to watch out, but I still wasn't ready for it. 2) I've had issues extracting heavy game shells with this shotgun, which is always unnerving when you have to clear the obstruction on the range. Maybe its the ammo, maybe its the shotgun, but same ammo works fine in my Mossberg 935, so who knows... \\r\ Its a good shotgun and it covers a range of ammo that the Mossberg won't shoot so it has a place in my armory for sure.
