The hype on this one...
The hype on this one is hard to ignore. I've been seeing reviews and hearing word of mouth about the 1301 Tactical going back a few years now. I was in the market for a semi auto homestead defense shotgun and boiled my choices down to Benelli m4 and the Mod 2 version of the Beretta 1301. After a few days use of both shotguns side by side, I think they are very comparable. I will grant the win to the Beretta based on what's included with that mod 2 release. Excellent prolifter, easy loading and manipulation, and feeling all-made-of-one-piece feeling. You truly can't go wrong with either but if you're buying just one, get the Beretta.
