The Dickinson Defense AK212TS5M is a 12 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun configured for defensive and tactical use. Its inertia-operated recoiling barrel system is designed to cycle a broad range of loads, from lighter 7/8-ounce shells through heavier 1.75-ounce magnum loads. The 18.5-inch barrel uses the Mobilchoke system and is fitted with an extended muzzle brake choke. A ghost ring sighting system supports fast target acquisition, while the Picatinny top rail provides a stable mounting point for a compatible optic. The black synthetic adjustable stock and integrated pistol grip offer adaptable handling and control, and the Silver Marinecote finish provides corrosion-resistant protection for the metal components.

This gun is not a toy....
This gun is not a toy. It will not cycle light-load ammo, and recoil management is a real chore. 1145FPS #8 Winchester Super-target will fail to eject every round. Fiocchi 1500FPS, #2 shot cycles flawlessly. Your wife will shoot 1 round, maybe 2, and hand the gun back to you with a "Never again" look on her face. My neighbor, an avid shooter, ran 3 rounds through it and handed it back. every shot was a hit, but even that did not encourage him to keep shooting. That said, I find it fun to shoot! Recoil management and the resulting time-to-target acquisition will never make it popular in competition, but it was not built for competition. It is built for self-defense/home defense. It is dead-on accurate with the ghost-ring sights, so shot #1 will be on target, making shots 2-5 less important. If it were a horse, I would call it a "man's horse." It will never be your favorite gun to shoot, unless one day you need it to save your life. As a bonus, if you lend it to a friend, you can be assured he will return it.
