A: Dennis, yes this has a 3 inch chamber so it will shoot 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. Just fine. For the break in period so first 150-200 rounds, if shooting 2-3/4 inch shells I'd stick with standard or high velocity rounds to completely cycle the bolt. After it's broke in it should cycle any velocity ammo just fine. Hope this helps.
