A: As far as home defense accessories. it is all in what you prefer. It is basically trial and error to find out what you like. As for me if I was building a home defense shotgun I would put good sights a light. Again it is all in preference of what you like and want. Hope this helps.

A: It should work fine but you may (emphasis on may) need to get a metric bolt or tap the reciever to fit the 870 bolt. I'd try it with provided hardware first and go from there.
