M500. Reputation...
M500. Reputation speaks for itself. Had one like it in the Navy and served me well. The safety is more modern and not GI correct but works well. You'll have to swap the safety if you want an exact clone.

I'm glad that I was able to find this Mossberg 500 #50406, 12 gauge, with 18.5" barrel. I got the 20 gauge many years ago and it's been great, so I wanted to step up to a 12 gauge. I tried the Maverick 88, all properties the same, but did not like it's pump action; did not like the recommendations from some who recommended using files, sandpaper, different lubes, replacing certain parts, etc. Put a couple hundred rounds through my new Mossberg 500 #50406 and it's functioned flawlessly. Very happy I was able to get this gun.

Can't go wrong with a Mossberg 5-hundo- my favorite pump. Love 870's but love Mossbergs even more. For me, they shoulder better and I prefer the safety up top. Fast shipping…thanks Bud's!
