I bought this for my 9yo son. I like that it fits him well, that it can grow with him (the adult stock is cheap), and of course I like the price.\\r\ Buyers may need to manage their expectations of what their child can do (or will be willing to do) though. My son is very recoil averse.\\r\ I filled the hollow stock with some lead shot in a baggie, adding just over a pound of weight. This helped a lot. The Winchester "low recoil low noise" shells aren't too bad in this setup. Now that the gun is over 6lbs he has trouble pointing it skyward though. So he shoots from a rest and we limit ourselves to stationary objects. This is probably not what Dad was hoping for, but I'm ok with that for a year or two. He will still be able to use this gun years later when he can more easily lift it (a major plus for this purchase).
