The Mossberg 590S Tactical is a 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun built for flexible shotshell selection and dependable operation. Its 18.5-inch matte blue barrel and cylinder bore support practical close-range use, while the system accepts 1 3/4 inch, 2 3/4 inch, and 3 inch shells, including mixed shell lengths in the same loading cycle. Standard Mossberg features include dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator. A top-mounted ambidextrous tang safety, bead front sight, black synthetic tactical stock, M-LOK forend, clean-out magazine tube, and drilled-and-tapped receiver complete the configuration.

An absolute joy to...
An absolute joy to shoot with the mini shells. The bead sight is hard to pick up but you can use a red dot as an alternative. I had an occasional issue when the shells, both mini and regular, got stuck while trying to cycle; had to push the shells in the tube a few times for the forend to move. Pros: Light, quick cycle; shoots mini shells Cons: Occasionally the pump gets stuck; forend is very flimsy and feels as if it might fall out; bead sight hard to pick.
