The Remington TAC 2 is...
The Remington TAC 2 is surprisingly heavy when loaded (a little over 10 lbs 6oz with six rounds of buckshot, sling and light attached - hey if you're going tactical go all the way)...Cycles very well...not designed for reduced recoil rounds - but as an aside various low impulse flight control buckshot rounds did work. My biggest concern was that the bead sight was installed canted to the right causing an extreme left impact of shot at any distances above fifteen yards...as always pattern your shotgun. Wish these came with the same rifle sights available for the 11-87 or 870. I did install ghost ring sights and frankly the TAC 2 has been awesome. Worth the very reasonable cost...plenty of aftermarket support if you like modifying your weapons. Bud's service was outstanding.

I researched this...
I researched this model of the Remington 1100 tactical and wasn't able to find very much reliable information on it from people that actually owned them. What information I was able to find seemed to be positive so I took a chance and went ahead and ordered one. I'm so glad I did. I have ran everything from Federal Walmart bulk pack general purpose light target/field loads to Remington and Federal field loads to Federal low recoil tactical 00 Buckshot and Slugs to full power 00 buckshot. It ran like a scalded dog with all of the above. The only round it didn't like was the Winchester white box target loads. My Saiga-12 won't even run those with the gas system all the way open. The recoil is extremely manageable even with the full power 00 buckshot loads. This is one sweet shooter and one very impressive tactical shotgun.
