Great purchase. Shoots...
Great purchase. Shoots all loads and sizes with no problem. At first there was a problem ejecting light loads. I called Remington and was told to shoot some regular loads for a while to loosen it up and try again. I did this and it handles the light loads better but still has an issue sometimes with AA light loads. I do not use those anyway just tried it to see what it would do. It is a heavy shotgun. Had to get used to that. Also has to bevel the loading port. It would bite my thumb every time with the fork type gate. Stiff spring to load, especially two at a time, but fast shooting and easy to maneuver. Happy with purchase.

Would buy it again, OMG! Tears up the targets, super smooth and really does feed alternating loads flawlessly. Love it! Fun gun, great workhorse.

Got the versamax...
Got the versamax pretty quick- thanks Buds. I cleaned and brought it to the range. I brought everything from birdshot to mag slugs. No issues with cycling any of it. Slugs out to 50 yards grouped less than 8 inches at a standing position. Recoil was light in comparison to my pump 12 gauge (of course). As I shoot it more and figure out which slugs it likes best, i'll update the review
