The UTAS Orthos XR-12 Pro is a bullpup 12 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun built around a compact, high-capacity configuration. Its dual 7-round magazines provide a 14+1 capacity with automatic alternating or selectable feed, while snap-open loading ports and retractable magazine followers streamline loading and ammunition management. The polymer receiver incorporates a spring-loaded shell feeding device, and the rotary 4140 steel bolt head uses three locking lugs for secure chambering. An integrated top-mounted Picatinny rail supports the addition of sights or optics. The fixed synthetic stock features a shell funnel, quick-detach sling swivel mounting points, a fiber-reinforced butt plate, and a one-inch recoil pad. The 18.5-inch barrel accepts 2.5-inch, 2.75-inch, and 3-inch ammunition, and the design allows tool-free field stripping.
