UTAS UTS-15 Bullpup 12 Gauge Burnt Bronze Shotgun

For those of you waiting to see if UTAS has corrected the feeding/ejecting issues of the earlier generations of the UTS-15.....fear not...they have. I have fired this shotgun in two separate range sessions using 00Buck and Remington Sluggers. Total number of rounds of fired was 50 (45 00buck and 5rds of Remington Sluggers). Flawless function with slow deliberate fire, and racking as fast as I could. Couldn't be happier with performance. As far as the shotgun itself, it is very light and relatively well made. I say 'relatively' because the plastic components do feel on the 'cheap' side (which is why I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5) but they work and contribute to the light weight . While the plastic components do look and feel somewhat 'cheap', the important components like the bolt carrier group, fire control group, and barrel seem really well made. The manual that accompanies the shotgun is fantastic and almost doubles as an armorer's manual as it will give self proclaimed gunsmiths like myself all the information to completely break down the gun into every individual component. For those of you who will purchase this shotgun, the UTAS light/laser combo is a MUST BUY. With this generation, you will not need to drill the holes for switch placement, or apply the 'correction' decal to specify using the light or laser/light combo and it is a perfect compliment to this gun. It does come with a modified choke, but it does not come with the tactical choke pictured in Bud's website; that choke will have to be purchased separately (which I did from Bud's too) if you choose to do so. Here's a brief summary of pros and cons: Pros: Smart design, light weight, flawless function, and great color Cons: Cheap plastic, does not come with sights, and a bit pricey (especially with the UTAS laser/light option which is a 'MUST BUY' for those of you who plan to keep this shotgun for generations to come). Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone who is either on the fence based on performance issues of earlier generations or for anyone looking for unique, cool, and properly functioning combat shotguns.
