The UTAS XTR-12 is a semi-automatic 12 Gauge tactical shotgun built around a detachable box-magazine system. This Flat Dark Earth Cerakote model features a durable synthetic stock with five-position adjustment, a 20.8-inch barrel, and a 3-inch chamber for accommodating a broad selection of shotshell loads. A receiver rail provides an optic-ready mounting platform, while the factory configuration includes a manual safety. Sights and the flash hider are sold separately.

Gun looks good heavy...
Gun looks good heavy built just not dependable. Shot ten rounds through it and had to have the bolt worked on. And the magazines cost alot. It's fun to shoot just it may let you down.

XTR12 is a Beast,...
XTR12 is a Beast, packaging was in original box and came in 3 pieces. The Front and rear pins attached to the lower were very hard to press without a tool, Hopefully cerekote will wear down over time and tool wont be needed. The bolt realease is rught next to the mag release on the left side so you could potentually drop your mag when trying to put your first round in. The amberdexterous saftey are pretty long on both sides and will need to be shaved down. Other than my nitpicky issues the gun feels solid, the BCG (Bolt Carrier Group) is a first gen so it does not include the small "nub" on top of the BCG that helps the guide rod (Not sure why it was needed..Reported issues?) Loving this Shotgun though. Havent slapped a 308. upper on it to but will soon. Yes the lower on the XTR is an AR10 base so you can purchase an AR10 Upper and it will work (DPMS) of course.

UTAS XTR-12 12GA I think is an excellent choice, I would like to see a drum magazine available at some time in the near future. I installed my AR holographic site and forward grip and the rifle handled really well. You can also swap the upper for almost anything you want. This is a great platform for the price and buds was the only place that had one in stock
