Description
Product Overview
The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting is a refined 12 Gauge over-and-under shotgun designed for clay target shooting and sporting applications. Its low-profile, positive-locking action keeps the shooter’s off hand close to the bore axis for a natural, consistent point of aim. The 32-inch barrels and single selective trigger provide a deliberate target-shooting setup, while the 3-inch chambers accommodate a broad range of shotshell loads. A finely executed scrollwork receiver and wood stock add classic Italian character to this practical sporting shotgun.

I bought this shotgun...
I bought this shotgun for sporting clays and have put about 8000 rounds through it with zero issues. From sporting clays, skeet field and dove field it has become my most used gun. I would definitely recommend this shotgun to anyone who hunts birds or shoots clays!

My Beretta Silver...
My Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting 12 gauge is impressive right out of the box. The quality and engineering behind this shotgun immediately caught my attention. This is my first O/U. Assembling the shotgun for the first time, I was amazed at the fit and finish. Tolerances between the receiver and the barrels were very tight (and I mean that in a good sense!!!). There was no slop whatsoever. It really is a marvel of engineering and precise machining/manufacturing…..just awesome craftsmanship! Balance was excellent despite the 32 inch barrels. Bringing it up to the cheek and sighting down the barrel was effortless. The real test will be after I shoot some rounds of trap with it so I can't speak to the how well it shoots in my hands at the moment. The SP1 came with five flush chokes although I wish Beretta would have included extended chokes since it is a sporting gun. I will shoot it first but I expect if this is a keeper, that I will order extended chokes from Beretta or Carlsons. Assembly and disassembly of the SP1 is simple and problem free. The case is well made and perfect for getting the SP1 to and from the range without "road rash." I also considered the Browning 725 Citori Sporting but the price of the SP1 was easier on the wallet by about $500 - $600. The price I paid at Buds was competitive and with free shipping, ordering through Buds was a "no brainer." From the day I ordered to the day it was delivered to my local FFL, was only 12 days. Fairly quick considering my payment had to clear before shipping. I will continue to do business with Buds because every purchase I have made over the years has been problem free and because of their competitive pricing.

This is a quality...
This is a quality weapon! I bought it for shooting skeet and it is been a dream to shoot! I still need to put some more rounds through it to get it broken in really good but it shoots great right out-of-the-box. I did have some trouble with Buds getting it shipped to me due to the fact that they lost my order during the computer changeover. It was over a month before the gun actually shipped from the date of order. I do not believe that these problems will persist once they get the new system in place. A highly recommend this Beretta Silver Pigeon.
