Description
Product Overview
The Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting is a competition-focused 12 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun built around Beretta's fast-cycling Blink operating system. Its blue receiver, walnut stock, 30-inch Optima-Bore HP cold-hammer-forged barrel, and adjustable balance-cap system give competitive shooters a refined platform for sporting disciplines. Kick-Off recoil reduction and a Micro-Core butt pad help make extended practice sessions more comfortable, while the 3-inch chamber accommodates a broad range of shotshell loads. The optional Gun Pod system can track ambient temperature, cartridge pressure, and total rounds fired.

Construction of the...
Construction of the firearm is below the level I expect from beretta. The stock had a small crack in it close to the receiver that looks like it was filled in with wood glue. Kick-off system is good but gun is much heavier than any of the O/U guns I have. I have put about 350 rounds through it mostly trap. Gun has functioned well.

Bought this Beretta...
Bought this Beretta A400 Xcel for my wife. She has taken up Sporting Clays and needed a quality shotgun that would be well suited for the sport, reliable, soft-recoiling, easy to clean, and sharp looking. She has about 300 round through it and loves it. Given Beretta's reputation, I look forward to many years of reliability and fun shooting.
